This service integrates Google Translate API with your Tradly-powered platform to automatically translate user-generated content β including listings and account details β into multiple languages. Itβs designed to help marketplaces grow globally while saving time on manual translations.
ββ Whatβs Included
β1. Listing Content Translation
- Automatically translates the title and description of a listing into all languages supported by Google Translate.
- Triggers when a user creates or updates a listing.
- Works silently in the background through a custom extension.
β2. Account Content Translation
- Automatically translates the account name and account description fields.
- Helps maintain multilingual visibility for seller or organization profiles.
β3. Seamless Integration
- Built as a backend extension β no user interface change required.
- Compatible with any Tradly-powered platform instance.
βπ« Whatβs Not Included
ββ Slug Translation
- Slugs (for listings or accounts) are not translated.
- Slugs will either:
- Be manually defined by the user, or
- Be generated from the default (original) language content.
- These are kept stable to avoid breaking URLs or SEO links.
ββ Attribute Field Translation
- Any custom input fields or attributes added to a listing or account will not be translated (e.g., a color, size, or input).
- This limitation exists because these fields vary too widely in structure and context for accurate translation.
ββ Static UI Text or Navigation Labels
- This service does not handle frontend translations such as:
- Menu labels
- Button text
- System messages or UI content
- For that, you should use Tradlyβs built-in language translation support.
ββ Human Review or Editing
- Translations are fully automated via Google Translate.
- There is no human proofreading or editorial review included in this service.
ββ Language Switcher Setup
- If your frontend requires a dropdown or selector for users to choose languages, it must be implemented separately.
βπ οΈ Timeline & Delivery
- Development + Testing: 1 Week
- Tentative Release Date: 7 working days after payment
- Deployment: Handled by the Tradly technical team
- Testing Environment: A staging version will be available for preview and validation before going live for user to test for short time .
βπ¦ Requirements to Start
To begin the integration, we require the following from you:
- A Google Translate API Key from your Google Cloud Console
- Confirmation of which fields (if any) should be excluded from translation
βπ³ Billing & Support
- This service will be billed as part of our Custom Development offerings.
- An invoice will be shared separately.
- Support will include issue resolution within 2 weeks of deployment.
For any changes outside the defined scope (e.g., adding translation for more fields or frontend UI changes), a separate scope and quote will be provided.
